Filling A Void
It was a couple of nights before we flew to Zürich. I was out after our concert at mathias’ place where we played Staying Out There for the first time in front of friends. I felt good about it but in a weird way confused. I didn’t really feel that kind of ready to record like I did back then for Gone Too Far. I knew I was prepared, I carried these songs for quite some time with me and had spent intense weeks of rehearsing and practicing each and every ...
I think I was asleep for two days straight : ) - after our concert at the Festival Wellenklänge in Lunz. It was the last concert of our summer and I was so excited, happy and sad at the same time. This month, our recordings, our concerts, it all meant so much to me and so did this concert as it stood for the end of our July...anyways : ) we had plenty of time as Lunz is about 2 ½ hours away from Vienna. mathias, Hans, Ingrid, Fabian and Martin were already soundchecking when I got there. I knew that this stage was ...
We had weeks and days of intense rehearsing for the new album behind us, when we started off to Meggenhofen. It is not far from my hometown Wels in Upper Austria, so it was short and lovely train ride towards home. There are no words to describe the „Theater Meggenhofen“ surrounded by stunning nature. We couldn’t believe our eyes. The team who is responsible for this magical place were incredible(http://theatermeggenhofen.at/das-theater/das-team/). They treated us to homemade pies that I simply can’t get out of my head and created with unbelievable energy this place. I ...
Live at Jazzclub Opus, Budapest
Actually I can’t remember how long it has been since I’ve been to Budapest and I couldn’t wait to see this beautiful town again. Also I have hungarian roots – my grand grandma was Hungarian – that’s what I’ve been told. Naima (mathias’ daughter) and Helga (the coolest lady from Vienna who lives in La Gomera) came along on our trainride to listen to our concert - ohyeah! The Jazzclub Opus is completely new, about a year ago they opened their doors and let me tell you: What a venue!!!There are two ...
It was the first concert after quite sometime and therefor I couldn’t wait to be back on the road!!!We’ve never been an opening act for a Festival before so you can imagine how excited I was. We started off calmly and with a good mood from the trainstation in Vienna. It is a beautiful trainride to Ebensee, the train runs along the lake and you know how much I like water : )!
We got there and after a tiny nap we went straight to the venue. It is a charming place with a lot of charming people! Mathias ...
