It was the first concert after quite sometime and therefor I couldn’t wait to be back on the road!!!We’ve never been an opening act for a Festival before so you can imagine how excited I was. We started off calmly and with a good mood from the trainstation in Vienna. It is a beautiful trainride to Ebensee, the train runs along the lake and you know how much I like water : )!
We got there and after a tiny nap we went straight to the venue. It is a charming place with a lot of charming people! Mathias ...

OH!!!!When I think of our evening at the Porgy I get all sentimental...I had the most wonderful time with you, with all of you!!!!I am deeply grateful for your support from the very beginning. It’s hard for me to describe this night...as you know it all began at the Porgy in February and for me to come back there –this time with the entire songcycle of Schubert – was very special!!! I felt like we shared and walked this journey altogether and I when I started with our last last song „Frozen tears“ I was close ...

Next stopp: Uznach…Switzerland is beautiful…when Barbara Schlumpf picked us up from the trainstation and drove us to our hotel I was fascinated by the wonderful view and even more fascinated when I noticed that our hotel was in the middle of this beautiful landscape including happy cows as neighbours!!!I had some time to take a walk and soak up all the fresh air…I took a nap and almost overslept soundcheck…I arrived at the beautiful venue that is very special in its own sweet way. It is managed by people who feel passionate
about what they ...

I woke up feeling tired but good. I enjoyed breakfast and after saying goodbye to Park Villa in Schaffhausen we went off to Chur! The great thing about the venue in Chur was, that the hotel was in the same building where the concert was. Which gives the Afterparty an especially relaxed atmosphere : )! Sometimes I feel so tired and exhausted before a concert that I don’t know how to do it – it’s a weird thing but as soon as you go on stage, you suddenly feel energy crawling up your spine – carrying you through the evening never leavin ...

We started our winterjourney in Schaffhausen… in the most charming hotel I’ve ever been!!!It was called Park Villa and I fell in love immediately…it looked like little castle up on the mountain and when you enter, you were surrounded by wine and chococlates…I am not kidding, it’s true!!!!So I was all excited to be here and stay in my room as long as I could before soundcheck. Kammgarn is a beautiful venue managed by Hausi (and he is as nice as his name sounds)! As you know I am always nervous, each and everytime ...

It was a lovely Saturday afternoon when we met at the trainstation. A. Bahadir Gokce and his friend were on board with us to shoot a live video of our concert. The Festival „Jazz im Hof“ was hosted by Caroline Berchotteau and I’m pretty sure co-hosted by her charming daughters and their cute smiles. The stage was placed in the baroque garden of the Museum of St.Pölten – when we started to play it started to dawn, it was beautiful ( thank you Martin Vetters for the great great sound – your friend Mr.Neumann makes me happy everytime) – it ...

On the second of July we had our first concert in Germany! I was excited when we got on the train. Ingrid, Hans, mathias and me left Vienna at 10:30.
Fab was following us by car, he had aaaall our stuff including the big old heavy suitcase! The whole train ride I kept asking questions about Old time Jazz cause I discovered the Lindy Hop community in Vienna. I had a performance with my tapdance friends there led by our amazing teacher Sabine Hasicka.
If you wanna learn how to tapdance, that’s where you have to go!!! At ...

I kind of like the weary mornings after having a great night. It’s a special kind of mood when you know you surrendered your sleep for having a wonderful time. It’s the best kind of tiredness. Anyway, back on the train to Dornbirn I fell asleep ot once and woke up just in time to get out of the train. Peter picked us up and brought us to our hotel where we had time rest some more or do what we felt like doing. We had a quick and uncomplicated soundcheck, interrupted by a snack attack backstage as ...

We started off from Vienna to St. Johann at around 10:00 in the morning. We had a busy week including a live video shoot in the Porgy & Bess. Usually I am the one who forgets important things but this time it was mathias and he forgot to bring my dress. I don’t know why but I brought another stageoutfit just because I thought why not have a choice : ), I didn’t have a choice but I had an outfit. We arrived at around 15:30 and soundcheck was an hour later. St.Johann is beautiful. At our hotel ...

Louise Pale at the Yellow lounge in Vienna. The days before the concert I spent with reading the inspiring book by dancer and actress Louise Brooks entitled „Lulu in Berlin und Hollywood“. I was so fascinated by her words and perspectives that I had to start watching all her movies, first on my list was Pandora’s Box by the austrian filmmaker G.W. Pabst. I still can’t believe she was 21 when she appeared in this movie. At first unappreciated but now one of the classics. Miss Brooks presence is stunning. I was so inspired by her uncompromising ...
