I just got back home from beautiful Belgrade, feeling incredibly grateful for our moments in Serbia. I was so excited to be back, as I fell in love the last time we played there and again this wonderful country, this wonderful city generously welcomed us. Oh what a beautiful town!!!It felt like traveling back in time…the incredible castle takes you right back to the Renaissance - unbelievable! Our venue of the night „Birdland“ is located right in the middle of this beautiful old town, at a corner of a tiny little street, you walk down the stairs and there you are - in the middle of the club surrounded by wonderful photographs of everyone who had played there!!! I love Budapest and the Opus Jazz Club. We played our Winterjourney at Opus two years ago and I was very much looking forward to be back. We had a special guest with us or I did : ) my friend Sarah from Amsterdam was visiting me and she decided to come along, yes yes yes! „To travel is to live“  (H.C. Andersen) and if its with people you love, one can only be truly grateful! Last week I stumbled upon a picture of a young man, leaning against a wall - I was so fascinated by him that I had to find out who he was!
